Pantry – Albertsons' Design System
Albertsons Companies, the second-largest supermarket chain in the U.S., operates over 2,000 stores nationwide. As Lead Designer, I worked with a small team to create the company’s first design system, Pantry.
I led component design, created guidelines and technical documentation, and partnered closely with engineers to ensure components were built to spec. I also established a robust color foundation to support a complex multibrand design system with six distinct color themes.
In addition, I mentored a UX team of 40 designers, helping them adopt and effectively use the component library while providing guidance on UX strategy and visual design. This work improved design efficiency, fostered cross-functional alignment, and elevated the user experience across platforms.

Motion for Design System
My main goal was to use motion as the connection to enhance usability and improve the lack of clear communication in some areas of our products.
Money transfer
The Money Transfer flow is the most important flow of our digital product. It sets the journey for all our digital customers.
Recent activity
Every user can see the most significant and high-level insights about each of the past transactions upfront: Sent amount, Receiver’s name, Transfer status and Resend link. This view allows users to quickly identify the status of all their transactions simultaneously.
Send money mobile app
It clearly needed a fresh new look and usability improvements in the key steps of the flow.
I proposed different colors and a new iconography, and I optimized the information hierarchy to keep it clean, clear and simple.
